Eivind Bolle

Eivind Albin Andreas Bolle (born October 13, 1923 in Hol , Nordland ; † June 10, 2012 ) was a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). Between 1973 and 1981 he was his country's Minister for Fisheries .

Life

Bolle had worked as a fisherman since 1938 and later also a shop steward in various fishing organizations. He began his political career in 1959 when he was elected to the local parliament of Hol for four years . He then sat until 1973 in the municipal council of Vestvågøy was elected. He was also a member of the National Board of the Norwegian Fisheries Association ( Norges Fiskarlag ) between 1965 and 1973 .

After he was the so-called Vararepresentant des Storting between 1969 and 1973 , he became a member of the Storting for Ap in 1973 and represented Nordland in this until 1985. He was also mayor of Vestvågøy municipality between 1971 and 1973 and a member of Nordland's Fylkesting .

On October 16, 1973, Bolle was appointed by Minister of State Trygve Bratteli as Minister of Fisheries in his second government and held this ministerial office until October 14, 1981 in the subsequent government of Minister of State Odvar Nordli and in the first cabinet of Minister of State Gro Harlem Brundtland .

Most recently, Eiving Bolle was chairman of the Arbeiderpartiet in the province of Nordland between 1984 and 1988.
