References and comments

  1. At Spuler, Jolly is referred to as the so-called Prime Minister , but is only included in Leiser's list in his function as Minister of the Interior.
  2. ↑ The fact that Freydorf only became Minister of Justice in 1871 - after the Foreign Ministry was abolished - is not clear from Leiser's list. According to Leiser's information, Freydorf was Foreign Minister and Justice Minister at the same time from 1866 to 1876. In Spuler, Hermann Obkircher is depicted as Minister of Justice from 1868 to 1876 at the head of the Ministry of Justice, but Freydorf as Foreign Minister only until 1871! The specifications for the winder and the quieter are therefore in competition with one another. The times selected here are a conclusion from the two contradicting information. They are based on the assumption that there were not two Baden Justice Ministers at the same time and that the Foreign Ministry was abolished in 1871. This assumption seems plausible and is particularly consistent with information on Freydorf's biography in the ADB , according to which the Ministry of Justice was merged with that of the grand ducal house and foreign affairs.
  3. The minister without portfolio is only given in Spuler, but not in Wolfgang Leiser's list.
