  1. Stengel is mentioned by Spuler as Prime Minister , but not as Minister of Justice. Spuler wrongly names Anton von Stabel as Minister of Justice for this period. At Leiser, Stengel is only listed as Minister of the Interior and Justice, without specifying a prominent position as head of the entire ministry, although Stengel has established himself as the namesake of the cabinet in many tables. According to Furtwängler, Friedrich Freiherr von Wechmar from the previous cabinet, Rüdt von Collenberg, was still in office as Minister of the Interior and Justice until September 20, 1856 .
  2. In Spuler no foreign minister is given for the period 1856 to 1860, so that the name Rivalier von Meysenbug is missing there. In the biographical literature on Meysenbug, for example in the ADB , it is stated that in 1856 he was “appointed as Minister of State of the Grand Ducal House and Foreign Affairs at the head of the Baden Ministry”.
