  1. ^ Adolf Freiherr Marschall von Bieberstein (born January 11, 1848 in Karlsruhe, † November 13, 1920 in Freiburg im Breisgau) was Baden Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Grand Ducal House from March 8, 1905 to May 19, 1911. He was a cousin of the German Foreign Minister Adolf Marschall von Bieberstein , who was born six years earlier (see Meyers Großes Konversations-Lexikon 6th edition 1905–1909, Volume 13. Leipzig 1908, p. 352, online )
  2. a b According to Spuler, p. 71 and Furtwängler, p. 480 Rheinboldt is said to have been Baden's Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Grand Ducal House from 1911 to 1917. In Wolfgang Leiser, p. 221, however, Minister of State Alexander von Dusch is referred to as Minister of the Grand Ducal House, Justice and Foreign Affairs. Also with Frank Raberg : Alexander Freiherr von Dusch in Badische Biographien New Series Volume 5, ISBN 3-17-018976-X , p. 55 f. and in the Deutsche Biographische Enzyklopädie (Ed. Walther Killy), Vol. 2, KG Saur, Munich 1995, p. 656, Alexander von Dusch is listed as Foreign Minister for 1911 to 1917. Josef Nikolaus Rheinboldt is only mentioned on Leiser p. 226 as Finance Minister 1910–1918, but not as Foreign Minister! In 1911, however, the railway department was transferred from the Baden Foreign Ministry to the Ministry of Finance (see biographical notes on Rheinboldt at the Federal Archives ). From 1911 to 1917 Rheinboldt was Minister of Finance and Railways of Baden, but not Minister of the Grand Ducal House and Foreign Affairs!
