Verwoerd II cabinet

The Verwoerd II cabinet was formed in South Africa on April 1, 1966 by Prime Minister Hendrik Frensch Verwoerd of the Nasionale Party (NP) and thus replaced the Verwoerd I cabinet and remained until Prime Minister Verwoerd was assassinated by the parliamentarian Demetrios Tsafendas on September 6 In 1966 in office, whereupon it was replaced by the Vorster I cabinet . The previous Minister of Justice and Police, Balthazar Johannes Vorster , became the new Prime Minister .
