Cabinet Vorster III
The Vorster III cabinet was formed in South Africa on April 29, 1974 by Prime Minister Balthazar Johannes Vorster of the Nasionale Party (NP) and replaced the Vorster II cabinet . It remained in office until October 10, 1978, when it was replaced by the Botha I cabinet . Balthazar Johannes Vorster himself took over the office of President of South Africa on October 10, 1978 , while the previous Minister of Defense, Pieter Willem Botha, became the new Prime Minister.
