Kai-Lena Wargalla (born December 6, 1984 in Achim near Bremen ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and a member of the Bremen citizenship .

Family, education and work

Wargalla is the daughter of the former member of the Bremen Parliament, Elisabeth Wargalla, and grew up in Bremen. After graduating from high school, she studied in Magdeburg, Uppsala, London and Oldenburg. She graduated with a Certificate in International Media & Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Engineering: Cultural Studies, Knowledge Management, Logistics . She is currently doing a master's degree in Sustainability Economics and Management at the University of Oldenburg .

After spending time abroad, she has been back in Germany since 2013. She was initially the head of the meeting place in Huchting . From July 2014 to June 2016 she worked in a branch of Alnatura .

politics

Wargalla is a member of Alliance 90 / The Greens .
In January 2016, together with Ralph Saxe, she was elected board spokeswoman for the state association of the Bremen Greens . In order to maintain the separation of office and citizenship mandate, she waived a renewed candidacy on December 2, 2017, as she became a member of the citizenship.

In the state elections in Bremen in 2015, she ran for 23rd place on the state list. In September 2016 it is for Wilko Zicht in the city citizenship nachgerückt.
She was a member of the Deputation for Culture (Member), Deputation for Social Affairs, Youth and Integration, and the Works Committee of the Bremen City Library .

For the 2019 general election, Wargalla ran in 14th place on the list for the Bremen Greens and was elected to the state parliament with the third most candidate votes of her party.
She is a member of the Deputation for Culture, Deputation for Culture, Deputation for Social Affairs, Youth and Integration as well as in the Committee for Citizen Participation, Civic Engagement and Advisory Boards.
She is the spokesperson for her party for cultural policy, for queer and for strategies against right-wing extremism
