Kaka Point is a small village in the Clutha District of the Otago regionon the South Island of New Zealand .
geography
The village is located on the northeastern edge of the Catlins , around 17 km south of Balclutha and 7 km north of Nugget Point , directly on the east coast to the Pacific Ocean . The New Zealand State Highway 1 , which is part of the Southern Scenic Route here , passes the village between 5 and 6 km west of the village.

In the 2013 census, the town had 222 inhabitants, 10.4% more than in the 2006 census.
