Kakani ( Nepali ककनी ) is a village and a Village Development Committee (VDC) in Nepal in the Nuwakot district .

The VDC Kakani extends over the hilly landscape south of Likhu Khola 15 km southeast of Bidur . The Kathmandu – Bidur highway runs through Kakani.

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDC Kakani had 7,320 inhabitants (3,621 male) in 1,390 households.
