Kakuluk Mesak is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the administrative district of Belu ( East Nusa Tenggara Province ).

geography

Kakuluk Mesak is located on the north coast of West Timor on the Sawu Sea . In the east Kakuluk Mesak borders the district Osttasifeto ( Tasifeto Timur ), on the south by the districts Atambua ( Kota Atambua ) Westatambua ( Atambua Barat ) Südatambua ( Atambua Selatan ) and Westtasifeto ( Tasifeto Barat ). To the west is the administrative district of North Central Timor ( Timor Tengah Utara ).

The district of Kakuluk Mesak is divided into Desas Fatukety (1,986 inhabitants 2010), Kabuna (5,370), Kenebibi (2,661), Jenilu (2,477), Leosama (1,253) and Dualaus (3,861).

The administrative center is Umarese in the Desa Dualaus .

Residents

In 2010 there were 17,608 people in Kakuluk Mesak. The majority of them belong to the northern Tetum ethnic group and the majority are of the Catholic faith .
