Kalanchoe chevalieri is a species of the genus Kalanchoe in the family of thick-leaf plants (Crassulaceae).

Vegetative characteristics

Kalanchoe chevalieri is believed to be a perennial plant that can grow to heights of up to 50 centimeters and more. The leaves are stalked. The petiole -round, about 4 centimeters long leaf stalk is widened to the base and encompasses the stem. The ovate-elongated to linear-lanceolate leaf blade is 8 to 10 centimeters long and 0.7 to 5 centimeters wide. Its tip is blunt and tapering to a point, the base truncated or suddenly narrowed. The leaf margin is serrated and notched.

Generative characteristics

The inflorescence is about 5 centimeters wide. The upright, orange-colored flowers are on 4 to 5 millimeter long peduncles . Their sepals are almost not fused together. The ovate-lanceolate, pointed calyx lobes are about 5 millimeters long and 2 millimeters wide. The corolla tube expanded at its base is square and 12 to 14 millimeters long. Your lanceolate, pointed corolla lobes have a length of about 6 millimeters and are 3 millimeters wide. The stamens are attached above the center of the corolla tube and protrude from the flower. The sitting, elongated anthers are about 1.3 millimeters long. The linear, thread-like nectar flakes are about 4 millimeters long. The elongated carpel has a length of about 6 to 7 millimeters. The stylus is about 3 millimeters long.

Systematics and distribution

Kalanchoe chevalieri is common in Vietnam in the Annam region.
