Kalanchoe linearifolia is a species of the genus Kalanchoe in the family of thick-leaf plants (Crassulaceae).

Vegetative characteristics
Kalanchoe linearifolia is a perennial , completely bare, heavily branched small shrub that reaches heights of 100 to 150 centimeters. The stem-round, woody shoots are somewhat climbing. The leaves are sessile. The gray, almost cylindrical leaf blade is furrowed on the upper side. It is 3 to 13 inches long and 0.4 to 1 inches wide. Their tip is pointed, the base trimmed and not encompassing the stem.
Generative characteristics
The loose inflorescence is an even panicle . It reaches a length of 4 to 13 centimeters. The upright to splayed flowers are on 6 to 8 millimeter long flower stalks . Its green, red-tinted cup is very fleshy. The calyx tube is 2 to 3 millimeters long. The triangular, pointed calyx lobes are 3 to 4 millimeters long and about 4.5 millimeters wide. The urn-shaped, very fleshy corolla tube is shiny red and 7 to 11 millimeters long. Their egg-shaped, pointed, thorn-pointed corolla lobes are curved outwards. They are 3 to 4.5 millimeters long and 2.5 to 4 millimeters wide. The stamens are attached above the center of the corolla tube and do not protrude from the flower. The ovate-elongated anthers are about 2 to 2.5 millimeters long. The more or less rectangular, blunt-edged nectar flakes have a length of about 0.6 millimeters and are 1.5 to 2 millimeters wide. The carpel has a length of 6 to 7 millimeters. The stylus is 2 to 3 millimeters long.
The obovate seeds reach a length of about 2.5 millimeters.
Systematics and distribution
Kalanchoe linearifolia is widespread and quite common in the dry bush on limestone in the south of Madagascar .
The first description by Emmanuel Drake del Castillo was published in 1903.
