Kalanchoe usambarensis is a species of the genus Kalanchoe in the thick-leaf family(Crassulaceae).

Vegetative characteristics
Kalanchoe usambarensis is a perennial plant that reaches heights of up to 1.2 meters. Their bare shoots are erect or basal prostrate-erect and root from the lower nodes . The bare leaves are sessile. Their green, obovate or elongated leaf blades are up to 10 inches long and 5 inches wide. Its tip is blunt, the base wedge-shaped and half encompassing the stem. The leaf margin is whole or slightly cupped.
Generative characteristics
The almost spherical, glandular-downy-haired inflorescence is 15 to 25 centimeters long. The upright flowers are on 2 to 5 millimeter long peduncles . Your calyx tube is 0.7 to 1 millimeter long. The lanceolate calyx lobes are 3 to 4 millimeters long and 1 to 2 millimeters wide. The bright red corolla is green in the lower part. The corolla tube is 9 to 12 millimeters long. Their corolla lobes are oblong, ovate, blunt or with a blunt tip, and are 3.5 to 5 millimeters long and 1.5 to 2.5 millimeters wide. The stamens do not protrude from the flower. The elongated anthers are about 0.7 millimeters long. The linear nectar flakes have a length of about 2 millimeters. The linear-lanceolate carpel has a length of 5.5 to 7.5 millimeters. The stylus is about 1.5 millimeters long.
Systematics and distribution
Kalanchoe usambarensis is distributed in northeastern Tanzania on rocky slopes at altitudes of 1700 to 1800 meters.
