The Isabellfarbige- or Kammrandige amanita ( Amanita eliae ) is a fungal art from the family of Wulstlingsverwandten (Amanitaceae).

features

The hat of Amanita eliae is 40 to 90 mm wide, hemispherical when young, arched later when spread out and sometimes almost flat. The color varies between whitish-yellow, pale nut-brown and red-brownish tones and darkens towards the middle of the hat. The surface (hat skin) is smooth in texture, but tends to be coarsely flaky. The brim of the hat is furrowed, grooved and often covered with white, felty remains. The lamellae on the underside of the hat are densely packed and white to cream-colored.

The stem reaches sizes from 10 to 15 cm in length and 1 to 2.5 cm in diameter, its color is gray-brown. It has a finely jagged texture. The cuff sits on the handle in the form of a collar, a thin ring or ring remnant . The stem base has small, bulbous thickenings and is surrounded by whitish-gray, porous volva . The consistency is described as tough, elastic and leathery, among other things. The color of the flesh is white. In terms of smell and taste, the mushroom is mild and not noticeable. It is inedible.

Unlike other Wulstlingen (. Eg the two-colored sheath Streifling ), also with gerieftem brim that the subgenus Amanitopsis include the spores of this Amanita are weak amyloid . They were measured to be about 10–13 × 6–8 µm, the shape is oval to elliptical. The spore powder is white.

Species delimitation

There is a risk of confusion with the highly poisonous relatives, the green leaf agaric and other amulas.

Occurrence

Amanita eliae was first described in France and is most common there. Throughout Europe, the species occurs in deciduous forests with acidic soils, mainly in symbiosis with oak and beech , more rarely chestnut , birch , hazel and occasionally with pines . The fruiting body can be found from summer to autumn. In general, the fungus is considered rare.
