The Kanthaugen Freestyleanlegg ( English Kanthaugen Freestyle Arena ) is a sports facility for freestyle skiing and snowboard competitions in Lillehammer .
The facility was built for the 1994 Winter Olympics and opened in 1992. The facility consists of a mogul slope as well as an area for aerials competitions and one for ski ballet . The mogul slope can accommodate up to 12,000 spectators, while the other two competition areas have a capacity of 15,000 people. In 1993 and 1995 the facility hosted the Freestyle Skiing World Cup . During the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games , the facility was used for freestyle skiing and snowboard competitions. The arena is part of the Lillehammer Olympic Park and is located next to the Lysgårdsbakken ski jump .
