The canton of Chuvica is a municipality in the Department of Potosí in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Cantón Chuvica is one of thirteen cantons in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Colcha "K" in the province of Nor Lípez . The canton is located in the southwestern part of Bolivia, it borders in the northwest with the canton Atulcha , in the south with the canton Colcha "K" , and in the east with the canton Río Grande .
The canton extends between about 20 ° 33 'and 20 ° 38' south latitude and 67 ° 35 'and 67 ° 41' west longitude, it measures up to 10 kilometers from north to south and from east to west. There is only one municipality in the canton, the central place is Chuvica in the eastern part of the canton with 53 inhabitants, the mean altitude of the canton is 4200 m .

The canton of Chuvica is located in the southern part of the Altiplano on the edge of the Salar de Uyuni salt lake . The region's climate is typical of the time of day ; in which the mean temperature fluctuations in the course of the day are more pronounced than in the course of the seasons.
