The canton of Lafferde existed from 1807 to 1813 in the Braunschweig district in the Oker department in the Kingdom of Westphalia and was formed by the Royal Decree of December 24, 1807. Today the former communities are districts of the communities Ilsede and Lengede in the Peine district .
