The canton of Santiago de Agencha is a municipality in the Department of Potosí in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Cantón Santiago de Agencha is one of thirteen cantons in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Colcha "K" in the province of Nor Lípez . The canton is located in the southwestern part of Bolivia, it borders in the west and south on the canton Llavica , in the east on the canton Atulcha , and in the northeast on the canton Río Grande .
The canton extends between about 20 ° 30 'and 20 ° 36' south latitude and 67 ° 39 'and 67 ° 43' west longitude, it measures up to ten kilometers from north to south, and up to six kilometers from east to west . There is only one municipality in the canton, the central place is Santiago de Agencha in the southern part of the canton with 258 inhabitants, the mean altitude of the canton is 3750 m .

The canton of Santiago de Agencha is located in the southern part of the Altiplano on the edge of the Salar de Uyuni salt lake .
