Brandenberg Chapel

The Roman Catholic Chapel Brandenberg is located in the Brandenberg district of the municipality of Hürtgenwald in the Düren district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

The whole place including the chapel was razed to the ground in World War II . Here the battles raged in the Huertgen Forest . After the war, the small church had to be rebuilt. The warrior memorial stands on an outer wall .

In 1998 the district comprised Bergstein , Brandenberg and Zerkall with a total of 1,450 believers.
