The small cross-shaped chapel of the seven saints ( French Chapelle des Sept-Saints (d'Éphèse - Turquie) ) in Le Vieux-Marché , south of Lannion is a pilgrimage chapel that was built between 1704 and 1714 near Plouaret near Lannion in the Côtes department -d'Armor in Brittany in France . The name "Sept-Saints" is common in the region, including dolmens , menhirs and springs .

The chapel is a Christianized megalithic monument that was built on the remainder of an allée couverte ( gallery tomb ). The megalithic complex is located as a crypt in the area of ​​the south transept, which, like the one on the left, is six steps higher. The chamber area is approximately 4.4 meters long and 2.1 meters wide, with an internal height between 1.5 and 1.9 m. On the back wall of the gallery is a bank altar with figures of saints. It consists of the orthostat on the north side (2.0 m long and 1.7 m high), which has been lengthened by means of masonry. On the south side are two orthostats (1.8 m long, 1.7 m high and 1.8 m long and 1.75 m high). The end plate is hidden below by the bench altar, from which it rises 0.85 m high. The whole is covered by two ceiling panels (2.1 m long and 1.3 m wide and 3.65 m long and 2.4 m wide), the surfaces of which form the transept floor.

Legends

It is said that the seven statues that stand on the altar today were found during the excavation of the dolmen. The name of the chapel goes back to the "dormouse of Ephesus" .
