Karin Blüher

Karin Blüher (born April 18, 1937 in Hanover ) is a German photographer , press photographer and author .

Life

After finishing school, Karin Blüher completed an apprenticeship as a photographer in her hometown of Hanover in the post-war period from 1955 to 1958. She then worked as a photographer in various advertising agencies in Hamburg and Bremen .

From 1960 to 1966, Blüher worked as an employee at the Madsack & Co. publishing company. From 1966 to 2002, Karin Blüher worked as a press photographer for the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung .

In 1972 Karin Blüher co-founded one of the first photo galleries in Europe, the Spectrum photo gallery , which was taken over by the Sprengel Museum Hannover .

In 2002, Blüher started her own business as a freelance photographer. In addition to publications in theater magazines, books and art catalogs, she sent her works to various own and group exhibitions.
