Karin Sakrowski
Karin Sakrowski , née Kaufer (born July 17, 1942 in Berlin ) is a German artist. She works with painting , graphics , drawing , installation , object art , sculpture and performance .
Life
Sakrowski grew up in Berlin. From 1959 to 1966, after completing her training, she worked as a physics laboratory assistant at the German Academy of Sciences in Berlin . From 1968 to 1970 she completed evening classes at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art . From 1971 to 1976 she studied painting and graphics at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art and graduated with a diploma as a painter and graphic artist. Since 1976 she has been working as a freelance painter and graphic artist in Berlin. In dealing with the division of Berlin, she has referred to herself since 1986 as a “Berlin painter”. Since 1979 Sakrowski has been involved in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad.
