Karl-Dietrich Haase

Karl-Dietrich Haase (born April 27, 1946 in Kiel ) is a German administrative lawyer and former ministerial official of the German Bundestag .

Life

As the son of a naval officer , Haase attended high school in Sylt in Westerland . After graduating from high school, he joined the X / 67 crew as a reserve officer candidate (San) for the German Navy . After studying law at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel and completing his legal traineeship , he joined the Bundeswehr administration as a civil employee . He began as a legal advisor and military disciplinary attorney with the 6th Panzer Grenadier Division and the Schleswig-Holstein Territorial Command . Afterwards he was in the command department head of public relations and personal assistant to the president of the defense area administration north .

On December 1, 1986, he moved to the administration of the German Bundestag. From 1991 to 2006, he was Secretary of the Defense Committee for longer than any of his predecessors . Promoted to ministerial director, in May 2006 he became sub-department head “Petitions and Submissions” in the Petitions Committee of the Bundestag . In August 2010 he became a senior civil servant and thus deputy to the defense commissioner of the German Bundestag . He retired on July 5, 2011 .

Haase completed a good 25 military exercises and became the sea captain of the reserve. He is involved in the German Navy Federation and sits on the board of the German Maritime Academy.
