Karl-Heinz Becker (born June 19, 1912 in Hamburg ; † July 19, 2001 there ) was a German long-distance runner .

biography

Karl-Heinz Becker competed in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin over 1500 m , but retired in the preliminary run.

In 1936 and 1937 he was German champion with the 4 x 1,500 meter relay . In 1935 he won bronze in the cross-country team competition.

During the Second World War , Becker was taken prisoner by Russia, from which he was only released in 1948. After that he worked as a police officer. Becker was the brother-in-law of his teammates Max Syring and Walter Schönrock .
