Karl-Heinz Gutjahr

Karl-Heinz Gutjahr (born June 18, 1927 in Berlin ; † February 19, 1963 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Gutjahr attended a secondary school and in 1943 joined the postal service as a civil servant. However, because of the Second World War, he was first drafted into the Reich Labor Service , then into the Wehrmacht .

After the war Gutjahr worked as a postal inspector and joined the SPD in 1946. From 1949 to 1958 he was chairman of the Socialist Youth of Germany - Die Falken in the Wedding district . In 1954 he became a teacher at the Postfachschule and later worked in the postal administration service. In the Berlin election in 1954 , he was elected to the district assembly in the Wedding district. In the following election in 1958 , Gutjahr was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. He was re-elected to parliament in the next election in 1963 , but died two days after the election.
