Career
With 1. FC Saarbrücken , Karl-Heinz Vogt only missed promotion to the Bundesliga in 1966 and 1967 in the promotion round. The "Witcher", as he was nicknamed, finally got into first class in 1969 when he moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the Palatinate. Only playing sporadically in the first season, he advanced to the FCK's best goalscorer in the 1970/71 season and was second in the list of goalscorers with 22 goals behind Lothar Kobluhn from Oberhausen . In 1972 Vogt reached the DFB Cup finals with the “Red Devils” : In the 0: 5 against FC Schalke 04 he was substituted on for Idriz Hošić in the 55th minute . In the following seasons Vogt's goal yield decreased again and he finally lost his regular place.
In 1974 he moved to VfR Oli Bürstadt in the amateur league Hessen . In 1975 he became German amateur champion with his club, in the final he scored all three goals in a 3-0 win against SC Victoria Hamburg . In 1976 he made it to the final again with Bürstadt, this time they had to be content with second place after a 0-1 defeat against SV Holzwickede . For the 1976/77 season there was a change to the second division club FC Homburg . After only seven missions and one goal for the Saarlanders, he left the club after only one season. This was also his last professional station.
From 1977 Vogt was a player-coach in Stiring-Wendel in Lorraine , as well as at the clubs SV Niederauerbach and SF Walsheim.
