Karl-Wilhelm Bollow (born August 30, 1952 ) is a German flotilla admiral a. D.

Bollow completed his training as a member of Crew VII / 72 . After studying at the Helmut Schmidt University (degree in business administration), he had his first assignments in the speedboat flotilla . From 1980 to 1982 he was commander of the speedboat S-52 Stork in the fifth speed boat squadron . After completing the B course (naval weapons), he switched to the destroyer flotilla in 1983 , which later became the second operational flotilla . From 1986 to 1988 he completed the admiralty staff course at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg.

From 1988 to 1990 Bollow was first officer on the destroyer Rommel . From 1991 to 1995 he was Deputy Naval Attaché at the German Embassy in Washington, DC From May 1995 to March 1997 he was in command of the Karlsruhe frigate . From 1999 to 2002 Bollow was the commander of the 4th frigate squadron . He then became head of the department in the planning staff of the Federal Ministry of Defense .

From October 1, 2006 to September 30, 2009 he was in command of the Flotilla 2 in Wilhelmshaven . In 2007 he took part in the UNIFIL mission in the Eastern Mediterranean as a contingent leader . In his last assignment, he was a German military attaché at the German Embassy in Washington, DC from October 1, 2009 to October 31, 2012
