Karl Aberle (medic)

Karl Aberle (born February 6, 1818 in Salzburg , † March 16, 1892 in Vienna ) was an Austrian physician and co-founder of the Carolino-Augusteum Museum and the Society for Salzburg Regional Studies , whose mineralogical and botanical collections he was in charge of.

Live and act

Karl Aberle studied medicine at the University of Vienna with Josef Hyrtl , Josef Škoda , Ferdinand von Hebra , Carl von Rokitansky , etc. In 1841 received his doctorate he became Dr. med. , then he worked in Salzburg, from 1852 as professor of anatomy at the medical and surgical institute. From 1872 Aberle was the personal physician of the German Empress Karolina Augusta .
