Karl "Charly" Altmann (born February 7, 1959 in Landshut ) is a former German ice hockey player who played on the position of defender . In the 1st Bundesliga he was under contract with EV Landshut , Berliner SC and Schwenninger ERC .

Career

Karl Altmann went on the ice for EV Landshut in the 1st Bundesliga in the 1979/80 season . He completed the following two seasons at the Berlin Ice Skating Club before he laced up his ice skates for the Schwenningen ERC from 1982 to 1994 . For the Black Forest he played a total of 477 league games in the 1st Bundesliga, making him one of the players with the most appearances in the history of Schwenningen ice hockey. In addition, he missed two seasons in a row from 1990 to 1992 , which was next to him only Earl Spry .

In the 1995/96 season Altmann played for EC Stuttgart in the 2nd league south and in the following season for their league rivals Schwenninger Fire Wings , the second team of his long-term employer Schwenninger ERC.

Karl Altmann has been running an architecture office in Villingen-Schwenningen since 1992 . His shirt number 21 was blocked by the Schwenninger Wild Wings and is no longer given to any player of the club.
