Karl August Bühler

Karl August Bühler (born February 26, 1904 in Ottenheim , † January 7, 1984 in Lörrach ) was a German CDU politician .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Lahr / Black Forest , Bühler studied Protestant theology in Tübingen and Heidelberg, and in 1927 joined the parish of the Evangelical Church in Baden . On February 1, 1928, he became pastor in Oepfershausen . In 1933, Bühler was arrested on short notice for political reasons. From 1943 he served as a soldier.

After 1945, Bühler continued to serve as a pastor in Thuringia . After he was arrested in 1948, he fled to West Germany in 1949 and became a pastor in Schallbach .

Bühler participated in the development of the CDU in Thuringia . After his escape , he became involved in the Baden CDU, where he was deputy CDU state chairman and chairman of the Protestant working group .

From 1956, Bühler was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . On January 12, 1958, he resigned from his seat. His successor was Franz Dietsche . From 1957 to 1969 he was a member of the German Bundestag . From 1965 to 1969 he was chairman of the Bundestag library council. From 1965 to 1971 he was a member of the hamlet municipal council.
