Karl Bewerunge (born January 20, 1913 in Heedfeld , then the municipality of Hülscheid ; † August 26, 1993 in Lüdenscheid ) was a German farmer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After completing secondary school in Lüdenscheid, Bewerunge attended the agricultural school in Lüdenscheid from 1933 to 1935, then the farmer's school in Soest and finally the farmer's college in Goslar . In 1932 he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 1,090,753). From 1937 to 1939 he was chairman of the Altena District Youth . From 1940 to 1945 he took part in World War II as a soldier and was most recently taken prisoner.

Bewerunge had been a district farmer since 1952 , was chairman of the Altena-Lüdenscheid agricultural district association in 1953 and chairman of the Sauerland agricultural district association ( Landeskulturgesellschaft Sauerland ) in 1958 . From 1964 to 1978 he was President of the Chamber of Agriculture Westphalia-Lippe .

After the Second World War, Bewerunge became a member of the CDU. He had been a member of the district council and a member of the district committee since 1953. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1976. From 1969 onwards he was vice chairman of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry. He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia .
