Karl Buslepp

Karl Thilo Buslepp (born May 25, 1875 in Buttstädt near Weimar , † April 15, 1961 in Weimar) was a German high school teacher and classical philologist .

Karl Buslepp attended the Wilhelm-Ernst-Gymnasium in Weimar until he graduated from high school in 1896. After his military service he studied classical philology, history and art history at the University of Leipzig in 1897/98 , from 1898 at the University of Jena , where he received his doctorate in 1901 under Heinrich Gelzer . In 1903 he passed the teaching examination, worked from 1902 to 1904 at the Realschule in Apolda , 1904/05 at the grammar school in Greiz and from 1905 at the Wilhelm Ernst grammar school in Weimar.

In addition to his teaching activities, he continued to work scientifically and published studies and articles in the detailed lexicon of Greek and Roman mythology .
