Karl Deutsch (dialect poet)

Karl Deutsch (born February 23, 1859 in Imst ; † December 20, 1923 there ) was a Tyrolean dialect poet .

Life

Karl Deutsch studied pharmacy at the University of Innsbruck . In 1880 he became a member of the Corps Rhaetia here . After completing his studies as Mag. Pharm. graduated, he settled as a pharmacist in his hometown Imst, which he later also headed as mayor. He wrote poems in Oberinntal dialect , and from 1920 as a freelance writer.
