Karl Ernst Strothmann
Karl Ernst Strothmann (born November 22, 1928 in Bielefeld ) is a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( CDU ).
Life and work
After attending elementary school and high school , he completed a commercial apprenticeship and worked in this profession until 1953. From 1954 he was employed by various associations, for example as managing director of the Ostwestfalen retail trade association .
Strothmann had been a member of the CDU since 1960. He was active in numerous party committees, including as chairman of the CDU city association Gütersloh.
MP
From May 30, 1985 to May 31, 1995 Strothmann was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He entered the state parliament via the state list of his party.
He was a member of the City Council of Gütersloh from 1961 to 1994 and was Gütersloh's mayor from 1985 to 1994 . From 1983 to 1984 he was a member of the Gütersloh district council .
