Karl Frank (pastor)

Karl Emil August Frank (* December 24, 1790 in Vöhl ; † March 14, 1875 in Obernburg ) was a Hessian pastor and politician and member of the 1st and 2nd chambers of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Christian Frank was the son of the pastor and inspector Friedrich Heinrich Alexander Frank and his wife Luise Friederike Elisabetha Christina, née Bichmann or Buchmann. He was the brother of the pastor, entrepreneur and MP Christian Frank . Frank, who was Protestant, married Wilhemine Friederike Luise Theodora née Klipstein.

Frank was pastor in Obernburg from 1831 to 1875.

From 1849 to 1850 he was an elected member of the First Chamber of the Estates. From 1865 to 1865 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Oberhessen 1 / Biedenkopf . In parliament he represented conservative-liberal positions.
