August Stammler

Georg Friedrich August Stammler (born November 8, 1789 in Grünberg ; † September 25, 1852 in Gießen ) was a Hessian civil servant, judge and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

August Stammler was the son of the rent master Johann Konrad Stammler and his wife Catharina Elisabetha, née Lotz. Stammler, who was Protestant, married Auguste, born Klügel, on October 4, 1818, the daughter of Gandersheim's superintendent Johann Christian Klügel .

Stammler studied law at the University of Gießen from 1806 and in 1811 joined the government and court secretariat in Gießen. In 1814 he became a soldier in the Jägercorps. In 1817 he changed to Riedeselscheer services and became administrator of the rent chamber of the former rule Riedesel . In 1822 he became provisional and in 1924 permanent district administrator in the Lauterbach district . In 1827 he was employed in the same function in the district of Battenberg . In 1832 he was retired. In 1834 he was civil recruiting commissioner at the provincial commissioner of the province of Upper Hesse in Giessen. From 1837 he held the title of a councilor there.

From 1835 to 1841 and again from 1845 to 1847 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Oberhessen 1 / Battenberg and then Oberhessen 4 / Lauterbach.
