Wilhelm Rausch (politician)

Wilhelm Rausch (born October 11, 1793 in Lauterbach ; † June 9, 1845 there ) was a Hessian innkeeper and politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Wilhelm Rausch was the son of the innkeeper "Zum golden Esel" Andreas Rausch and his wife Juliana, née Wallhausen. Rausch, who was of Protestant faith, was a Landwehr captain, innkeeper and, from 1816, a postman in Lauterbach. He married Henriette, born Koch, widowed Rausch (his sister-in-law) on May 9, 1816 in Lauterbach.

From 1832 to 1833 and again from 1841 to 1845 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Oberhessen 4 / Lauterbach .
