Karl Friedrich von Derschau

Karl Friedrich von Derschau ( March 1699 - August 5, 1753 in Burg ) was a royal Prussian major general and head of the Fusilier Regiment No. 47 .

Karl Friedrich came from the Prussian - Courland noble family von Derschau . His father was Bernhard von Derschau (1667–1742) heir to Woninenheim (Woninkaim) and Mamlack. In 1715 he went into Prussian service . Since he was a very great person, he came to the body regiment of the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm I (Prussia) in Potsdam . He became ensign on March 12, 1717, second lieutenant on April 7, 1721 and premier lieutenant on February 25, 1725. Then on July 1, 1730 he received the appointment of staff captain and on August 1, 1735 he received his own company. When Frederick II (Prussia) became king in 1740 , he reformed the army and on June 25, 1740, Derschau came to Fusilier Regiment No. 33 (Persode) as a colonel and commander . But when Regiment No. 40 from Sachsen-Eisenach came into Prussian service, he was transferred there as commander. It was stationed in Magdeburg and with the beginning of the First Silesian War he led the regiment via Berlin to Breslau. On August 18, 1744, during the Second Silesian War , he marched again, this time to siege Prague and to conquer Tabor, Budweis and Frauenburg. The regiment was initially stationed in Budweis and Frauenburg, but soon enclosed there by the Austrians. The units defended their positions but when it was clear that no relief would come, he had to surrender on October 22nd. The troops were then interned in Neuhaus in Bohemia, but were exchanged again in 1745. It first came to Liegnitz . After the peace treaty, it went to Breslau as a garrison on January 19, 1746 and was replenished there. On February 23, 1747, it was given the Fusilier Regiment No. 47 (Hessen-Darmstadt). On May 25, 1747 he was appointed major general, with the patent from December 1, 1743. He died on August 5, 1753 in Burg.

Since January 6, 1733, he was Johanna Elisabeth Maria Marschall von Herrengosserstedt (* October 21, 1704; † May 4, 1749), the daughter of Ludwig Ernst Marschall von Herrengosserstedt , Hereditary Marshal of Thuringia and general security officer and supervisor of the county of Henneberg . Four sons and two daughters survived:
