Derschau (noble family)
Derschau is the name of a Prussian - Courland noble family . Branches of the family currently persist.
history
The established family line of the family begins with the Danzig merchant and senator of the Königsberg Kneiphof Bernhard Derschau († 1590). His sons Bernhard (1560–1631), royal Swedish and Polish court judge, and heir to Kuggen and founder of the Prussian line, Johannes (1562–1616), Dr. jur. , Elector of Brandenburg Councilor and Minister, and Lord of the Manor on Woidieten and Reinhold († 1633), councilor in Tilsit and hereditary lord on Jägenberg that Dirschkawer were on 15 December 1602 Prague in the Knights moderating Empire nobility lifted . Also in Prague, on May 31, 1603, the three brothers also received the Bohemian nobility.
From the Prussian line, Reinhold von Derschau (1600–1667), Dr. jur., professor of law, electoral Brandenburg upper appeal and court counselor, as well as heir to Woninkeim on March 20, 1663 in Königsberg the electoral Brandenburg nobility confirmation, combined with an improvement in the coat of arms . The brothers Bernhard von Derschau , heir to Woninkeim and Albrecht Friedrich von Derschau , royal Prussian court vice-president , received the Prussian indigenous property on July 20, 1740 in Königsberg . The former royal Prussian captain Hans Albrecht von Derschau was enrolled in Nuremberg on February 15, 1817 with the aristocratic class in the Kingdom of Bavaria .
The enrollment with the Courland Knighthood took place with the matriculation no. 194 in 1682 for Friedrich von Derschau († 1707), royal Prussian lieutenant and heir to Kaulitzen. The Russian recognition of the right to use the baron title was granted by Senatsukas No. 2823 on March 3, 1862.
On September 4, 1909, the family association was registered at the Berlin District Court.

The family coat of arms (1602) shows in red two natural cut off black-brown or silver ram heads facing each other . On the helmet with red-gold or red-silver covers, a ram's head growing out of the helmet bulge is placed in front.
The improved coat of arms (1663) shows in red a free-standing blue column resting on a square with a blue ball and a green laurel wreath , surrounded by two black-brown ram's heads and necks facing each other. On the helmet with red and gold covers, a ram's head and neck placed in front.
The coat of arms of Courland (1682) shows two natural half rams facing each other in red. The silver ram's head placed in front on the helmet, red-silver covers growing out of the helmet crown .
