Karl Gustav von Güldenstubbe (born May 19, 1798 in Magnushof ( Livonia ); † May 12, 1867 in Arensburg ) was a state politician, from 1841 to 1843 deputy land marshal , district administrator and later mayor of the island of Ösel in Livonia.

family

Karl Gustav came from the well-known Baltic-Swedish aristocratic family the Güldenstubbe , who owned several estates on the Livonian island of Ösel and had both national political and knightly influence on Ösel. His grandfather was the noble marshal Carl Gustav von Güldenstubbe (1739-1814). His parents were the judge and district administrator Peter Ludwig von Güldenstubbe (1772-1819) who was married to Christine Dorothe, a born von Ekesparre (1778-1857). Karl Gustav married Johanna Apollonie (Polly) Pilar von Pilchau (1820–1880), they had the following descendants:

  • Clara Dorothea von Güldenstubbe (1844–1901), married to Hermann Ludwig von zur Mühlen (1835–1910), Estonian district administrator
  • Friedrich Ludwig von Güldenstubbe (1845–1917) court assessor and district administrator, married to Mathilde Valerie von Buxhoeveden (1849–1932)
  • Selma Amalie von Güldenstubbe (1847-1851)
  • Johanna Alexandrine von Güldenstubbe (1848-1851)
  • Maximilian Reinhold Karl von Güldenstubbe (1850–1931), district judge and poet , married to Lucie Elisabeth von Bock (* 1862)
  • Ernst Alexander von Güldenstubbe (1852–1932), court secretary and church governor, married to Evangeline Elisabeth von Möller (* 1863)
  • Mathilde von Güldenstubbe (1856–1929), Carl Guido Adalbert von Güldenstubbe (1848–1912), court assessors
