Karl Häberle

Karl Häberle (born October 27, 1910 in Pfuhl , today Neu-Ulm , † November 17, 1999 in Lindenberg im Allgäu ) was a German SPD politician .

Häberle attended the secondary school in Ulm and studied German in Tübingen , Munich , Berlin and Erlangen . After the state examination he received his doctorate as Dr. phil. From 1939 on he taught, with interruptions, at the secondary school in Lindenberg in Allgäu. In 1952 he founded the Westallgäuer Volksbildungswerk together with a few colleagues from the upper secondary school and several elementary schools, which he has since headed.

In 1959, Häberle joined the SPD, he was its chairman in the Lindau district association and second chairman of the Lindenberg local association. He belonged to the city council of Lindenberg, the Lindau district council and from 1962 to 1966 the Bavarian state parliament .
