Karl Heinrich Charisius
Karl Heinrich Charisius (born June 2, 1650 in Frankfurt (Oder) , † December 29, 1709 in Königsberg (Prussia) ) was a German lawyer.
Life
The son of the extraordinary professor in Frankfurt (Oder), as well as the syndic of the cities of Frankfurt (Oder) and Stralsund, Johann Balthasar Charisius (1615–1676) and his wife Rosina Zacharias, had probably received his first training at the Stralsund grammar school . He completed his studies at the University of Königsberg and at the University of Franeker , where he received his doctorate in law in 1678. He then worked as a private lecturer at the Königsberg University and became a lawyer at the court in Königsberg. In 1681 he was appointed associate professor at the law faculty, in 1684 he became assessor at the Samland consistory and later to court and consistorial councilor.
Charisius was married twice. He had his first marriage on November 24, 1678 Gertrud Langerfeld, (* June 17, 1631, † December 3, 1688). The son Christian Ludwig Charisius comes from his second marriage to Maria Oeder .
