Karl Hemberger
Karl Erich Hemberger (born August 9, 1928 in Aschaffenburg ; † March 19, 2018 ) was a German sports official.
Life
His parents Gregor and Franziska Hemberger (née Wedlich) had four other children besides him. Karl Hemberger was involved in sports alongside his job as an authorized signatory. He was still very old as an honorary member in an advisory capacity.
Functions in the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV) since 1946
He was appointed BLSV district and district youth leader in 1946 and held this position until 1957. He was appointed chairman of the BLSV's tax committee from 1967 to 1970. After a three-year break, he was on the BLSV Board of Directors from 1973 to 1992. From 1990 to 1997 he was chairman of the Bavarian Academy for Adult Education in Sport. From 1992 he was deputy chairman of the statutes and structure committee, from 1999 he rose to chair.
He was an honorary member of the DSB (from 2006 DOSB ).
Functions in the German Sports Confederation (DSB)
From 1970 he was a member of the presidium of the DSB, which he returned in 1994. He was active on the board of the Federal Committee for Law, Social Affairs and Taxes from 1970 to 1984, and from 1973 to 1974 he also took on management issues and training. He has been an honorary member of the DSB since 1994. From 1984 until 2005 he was the DSB employer representative in the VBG.
Functions representing the sport
In the ZDF Television Council he sat from 1981 to 1992. He was then to 1992 board member of the Leadership and Management Academy in Berlin. Also from 1992 he was a member of the Tutzing Academy for Political Education in Tunzing. From 1992 he sat in the broadcasting council of the German wave in Cologne and Berlin.
Professional background
First he was the authorized signatory of Enka Glanzstoff AG , Wuppertal and ENKA bvArnheim (NL), today AKZO-Nobel AG. He then became the main department manager, division manager for investments, division manager for energy, each for European plant locations and is chairman of the IHK transport committee. He is also a member of the Association of the Bavarian Chemical Industry.
