Karl Hippmann

Karl Hippmann (born January 22, 1812 in Baden-Baden , † April 1, 1875 in Staufen im Breisgau ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Born the son of a master shoemaker, Karl Hippmann attended the high school in Rastatt . From 1831 to 1835 he studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . In 1833 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Freiburg . In 1836 he passed the state examination and became an actuary at the Bühl district office . From 1838 to 1844 he was a lawyer in Bühl (Baden) . In 1844 he switched to the administrative service at the Emmendingen Oberamt , where he was appointed bailiff in 1848 . In 1849 he became head of the Achern district office . In 1855 he was appointed senior bailiff . In 1856 he moved to the Freiburg Landamt as a member of the administrative board . In 1864 he was appointed head of the Staufen im Breisgau district office. He held the office until his death in 1875.
