Karl Horst (politician)

Karl Horst (born March 26, 1898 in Hanau ; † April 19, 1987 ) was a German chemist and politician ( CDU ) and a former member of the state constituent assembly , a forerunner of the Hessian state parliament .

Karl Horst studied chemistry after graduating from high school and graduated with a doctorate. Horst was one of the founding members of the CDU and was district chairman of the CDU in the Main-Taunus district from 1945 to 1950 . In Hofheim am Taunus he was a city councilor and magistrate from 1929 to 1933 and again from 1945 to 1956. Between 1948 and 1956 and from 1960 to 1968 he was a district member. From 1956 to 1960 he was chairman, from 1968 to 1972 deputy chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group. From July 15, 1946 to November 30, 1946 he was a member of the state assembly of Greater Hesse, which advised the constitution.
