Karl Kases

Karl Kases (born January 16, 1951 in Vienna ) is an Austrian director and cameraman .

Life

Karl Kases began his career as a cameraman for music videos and advertising in 1975 . Since 1982 he has been making cinema and television films as well as television series .

In 1991 he moved to Los Angeles and made the films Mindwalk with Liv Ullmann , The Foot Shooting Party with Leonardo DiCaprio and Rain Without Thunder with Jeff Daniels. In 1992 he married the costume, stage and production designer Ina Peichl , with whom he has two daughters. Daughter Josephin Kases (* 1992) works as an actress.

Between 1994 and 1997 he worked as a cameraman on 120 episodes of the American television series Walker, Texas Ranger and also worked for the television series Dallas with Larry Hagman .

In 1998, Kases was also a director for Walker, Texas Ranger . He is a member of the DGA Directors Guild of America and the BVR (Federal Association of Directors). Karl Kases has lived in Germany since 2001 and has mainly worked as a director since the late 1990s.
