Karl Kleye

Karl Kleye (born November 25, 1854 in Söllingen ; † January 3, 1923 in Braunschweig ) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

Kleye attended the secondary school in Braunschweig from 1866 to 1872. He became an independent farmer at an early age. As a one-year volunteer , he served from April 1, 1876 to April 1, 1877 in the Kaiser Alexander Guard Grenadier Regiment No. 1 in Berlin . Since November 1, 1883, he has been the head of the Jerxheim community and since January 1, 1894, a member of the Braunschweiger Landtag . He was a knight 2nd class of the order of Henry the Lion .

From 1908 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Braunschweig 2 ( Helmstedt , Wolfenbüttel ) and the National Liberal Party .
