Karl Knoll (administrative lawyer)

Karl Friedrich Philipp Knoll (born December 30, 1871 in Schleswig ; † after 1926) was a German administrative lawyer and Prussian district administrator in the Adelnau district , Posen province (1907-1919) and in the Greifswald district , Pomerania province (1919-1920).

Life

Knoll, son of the Justice Councilor Karl Knoll and his wife Clara, née Ramelow, graduated from the Royal Evangelical High School in Glogau . He studied law and received his doctorate. jur. He began his professional career in 1894 as a trainee lawyer at the Landeck i. Silesia , in 1895 at the district court and the public prosecutor's office in Glogau and as a government trainee in Opole . In 1899 he became a government assistant at the Hanover District Office and the government in Bromberg . In 1907 he became district administrator in the Adelnau district. On January 2, 1919, he refused further service under the Polish government. In April 1919 he was initially acting district administrator in Greifswald, and in September 1919 he became district administrator of the Greifswald district. On April 23, 1920 he was given leave of absence and in September 1920 he was put into temporary retirement. From 1921 he was back in the General State Administration as Regierungsrat in Breslau operates. He retired in 1926.

Knoll had been married to Paula, née Eschenbach (born November 22, 1879 in Zanow , Schlawe district ), the daughter of a judge of the judiciary, since May 31, 1902 .
