Karl Krüger (teacher)

Karl Heinrich Krüger (born April 4, 1907 in Horn , † February 25, 1997 ) was a German high school teacher , textbook author and history didactician . As a teacher, since 1961 as a senior teacher and professional manager , he was until 1972 the school Leopoldinum in Detmold operates.

Life

As a student, Krüger belonged to the Evangelical Union and the Stahlhelm . During his studies in 1926 he became a member of the Marburg Burschenschaft Rheinfranken . In 1932 he received his doctorate at the University of Rostock and appeared there against the NSDStB . He began teaching in Detmold in 1937 and therefore joined the NSDAP . From 1940 to 1945 he served in the Wehrmacht . After a denazification process , he was immediately reinstated in Detmold. In 1969 he joined the CDU .

Together with other conservative history teachers, he re-founded the Association of History Teachers in Germany in 1949 and was on the board until 1972. In Lippe he was also a functionary of the philologists' association . In 1950 he began to write school books as an expert on the Middle Ages . He wrote successful textbooks for the middle and upper grades of grammar school, especially at Ernst Klett Verlag . In 1956 he became a member of the Germania Saarbrücken fraternity .
