Karl Leuthner
Karl Leuthner (born October 12, 1869 in Padochau , Bohemia , † May 8, 1944 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party (SdP).
education and profession
After attending high school in Brno he studied at the University of Vienna , the study of law , but not finish. He later became editor of the " Arbeiter-Zeitung ". He wrote numerous political and religious-historical brochures .
Political functions
- 1911: Member of the House of Representatives in the Reichsrat ( 12th legislative period ), Club of German Social Democrats ( constituency Austria under the Enns 13 )
- 1934: complete retreat into private life
He was also represented on the board of the Austrian-German Volksbund.

- October 21, 1918 to February 16, 1919: Member of the Provisional National Assembly , SdP
- March 4, 1919 to November 9, 1920: Member of the Constituent National Assembly , SdP
- November 10, 1920 to October 1, 1930: Member of the National Council ( 1st , 2nd and 3rd legislative period ), SdP
- December 2, 1930 to February 17, 1934: Member of the National Council ( fourth legislative period ), SdP
death
Karl Leuthner died on May 8, 1944 in Vienna. After the Second World War he was given a grave in the urn grove of the Simmering fire hall (Department ML, Group 1, Number 1G). This is one of the honorary dedicated or honorary custody graves of the City of Vienna.
Honors
- In 1949, the Leuthnerhof in Vienna's 6th district Mariahilf was named after Leuthner.
